All planning applications for the Tendring area (which includes Great Bentley) are decided by the Local Planning Authority Tendring District Council.
Great Bentley Parish Council is a statutory consultee in the planning process and the Parish Council Planning Committee meets each month to consider its comments on all applications that affect Great Bentley.
The Planning Committee is made up of all 9 parish councillors.
