Replacement Essex Minerals Local Plan review 2025 to 2040

Stop the Proposed Mineral Extraction Site’s in Great Bentley Village

Essex County Council have proposed a possible Mineral Extraction site to be built in Great Bentley, with 2 others bordering the village.

************************Due to significant public interest the Essex Minerals Local Plan Review consultation deadline has been extended to 5pm on Tuesday 9th April.****************************

On Saturday 06th April between 09:00 and 12:00am the Community Action Group are holding a drop in session if anyone needs any support filling out their comment on the application at The Plough in Great Bentley

THE SIZE OF 90 FOOTBALL PITCHES AT 67 HECTARES WHICH IS 165 ACRES 3.5 TIMES THE SIZE OF GREAT BENTLEY VILLAGE GREEN

The work on this proposed site will have an effect on the village for at least 20 years.  It will blight the fabric of our community and destroy the environment.

Great Bentley village has already had an increase in 60% of housing development with 2 active extraction sites in Great Bentley Road – the increased vehicle movements through the village is already causing problems and these proposed sites will only make this worse, not to mention the other associated problems with a site like this.
